The expanded line covers component formats spanning individual chipsets and chip arrays to multiwavelength units and multichannel assemblies.

These devices are intended to integrate across multiple data centre network architectures, including optical transceivers, co-packaged optics (CPO), near-packaged optics (NPO), and systems following Optical Compute Interconnect Multi-Source Agreement (OCI-MSA) standards.

Among the options, Aeva’s Ultra-High Power laser chipsets provide at least 350mW of optical output at 50˚C, paired with a linewidth under 500kHz and relative intensity noise below -150dB/Hz.

For modular deployments, the Multichannel External Source Assembly yields more than 600mW per channel at 50˚C.

This unit features integrated low-noise drivers and fits standard External Laser Small Form-factor Pluggable and near-packaged optics form factors.

The portfolio also includes SPECTRA, a software-defined multiwavelength array engineered to maintain wavelength control within 0.1nm across operating temperatures and system lifespans.

Paired with the firm’s semiconductor optical amplifiers, the silicon photonics array aligns with OCI-MSA specifications for power, wavelength, and operational efficiency.

Aeva optical connectivity senior vice-president Pradeep Srinivasan said: “We are building strong momentum in Optical Connectivity with our proven high-power optical source technology and new multiwavelength integrated silicon photonics that meet the performance, efficiency and scalability required for next-generation AI data centres.

“By broadening our product portfolio, Aeva is extending its reach across the rapidly growing AI data centre market and offering customers greater flexibility in integrating our technology for current and future architectures.”

Aeva developed the underlying high-power, low-noise optical source technology over the past decade for automotive sensing and industrial platforms.

The company is now using its existing manufacturing partners and qualified silicon photonics foundries to support volume supply for AI data centre infrastructure.
