VCI Global has unveiled a new prefabricated modular data centre platform called Galatron AI Factory, aiming to deliver up to 500MW of AI compute capacity over the next five years.
The initiative is intended to address challenges in deploying large-scale AI infrastructure, specifically relating to power availability and data centre development timelines.

The Galatron AI Factory platform is structured as a standardised solution, enabling VCI Global to progressively introduce computing capacity for high-density AI workloads.
Each unit consists of a 5MW prefabricated module, featuring advanced liquid cooling, power management, and digital twin-based design and validation.
According to VCI Global, each module is designed to be manufactured and deployed within around six months, subject to factors such as site readiness, power supply, and relevant regulatory approvals.
The initial 5MW deployment is planned to use Nvidia B300-class infrastructure, with commercial operation targeted for the third quarter of 2027.
The company stated that future deployments may integrate newer AI accelerators as technology evolves. The company estimates that, with the current configuration, each 5MW module could generate more than five trillion AI tokens per year.
At full 500MW capacity, up to around 670 trillion AI tokens annually could be supported, though actual output will depend on final hardware choices, workload, utilisation, and operational factors.
The roadmap for Galatron AI Factory includes continued evaluation of alternative power sources, such as solid oxide fuel cells and renewable microgrids, alongside advanced cooling systems and flexible interaction with electricity grids.
The company is also examining ways to link Galatron AI Factory to its broader AI cloud and computing infrastructure in Malaysia.
