Australian Neocloud Sharon AI has signed a $1.32bn agreement over five years with an unnamed global AI Lab to deploy its cloud computing solutions across New Zealand’s data centre infrastructure .
The company expects revenue from this cloud computing service agreement to begin in the first and second quarters of 2027.

Sharon AI’s total AI Factory capacity stands at 132MW, with 116MW already contracted to end customers.
By mid-2027, more than 62,000 Nvidia graphics processing units (GPUs) are anticipated to be deployed as part of the company’s infrastructure expansion.

Sharon AI focuses on providing high-performance computing and cloud GPU/ central processing unit (CPU) compute infrastructure, targeting AI workloads.
The company operates a cloud platform intended to accelerate the development of AI factories and sovereign AI solutions.
In December 2024, Sharon AI entered into a collaboration with New Era Helium to develop a 250MW net-zero energy data centre in the Permian Basin, Texas.
The project, initially planned as a 90MW facility, increased in scope to 250MW in response to higher client demand.
According to Sharon AI, the expansion highlights rising requirements for scalable and sustainable infrastructure in AI and high-performance computing sectors.
