Construction of the data centre is expected to start in summer 2026, with the initial data halls scheduled for delivery in 2028 and full completion targeted for 2029.

The development will comprise a three-storey data centre and a four-storey office building.

The contract scope includes all electrical and mechanical engineering work and the implementation of safety and management systems. The integrated delivery team will consist of HOCHTIEF Infrastructure and Dornan personnel.

HOCHTIEF CEO Juan Santamaría said: “This project reflects our continued focus on digital infrastructure and strengthens HOCHTIEF’s leading position in this market.

“Germany is experiencing strong, sustained demand for data centre capacity and by combining the capabilities of HOCHTIEF Infrastructure and Dornan, we are well placed to support the continued expansion of the digital infrastructure that underpins economic growth and innovation.”

HOCHTIEF Infrastructure CEO Peter Hingott said: “This is an important project for us in Germany. We developed it locally and will deliver it with an integrated team, drawing on HOCHTIEF Infrastructure’s experience in complex construction and our strong understanding of the market.”

HOCHTIEF secured €16.8bn ($19.2bn) in new data centre orders in 2025, with this market segment accounting for 21% of its backlog.

In February 2026, Meta selected Turner as one of the contractors for its $10bn data centre project in Lebanon, Indiana.

The facility is projected to cover around four million square feet and provide 1GW of capacity to support Meta’s technological operations, including AI.
