NTT DATA has opened its Jakarta 2 Annex Data Center (JKT2A) in Indonesia, expanding its computing footprint across the Asia-Pacific region.
The newly operational site provides 12MW of IT capacity and has been designed to support enterprise operations, hyperscale deployments, and high-density workloads, including AI applications.

Experience unmatched clarity with a single platform that combines unique data, AI, and human expertise.
The facility is located within the NTT Global Data Centers Jakarta campus and connects directly to the existing JKT2 facility.
It serves as an interconnection hub hosting over 240 network service providers, the JKT-IX internet exchange, submarine cable links, and major cloud platforms.
The physical proximity enables clients operating within JKT2A to interface directly with current network providers and cloud systems.
Concurrently with the opening, NTT DATA launched APN Connect, marking the first commercial implementation of all-photonics network (APN) technology in Indonesia.
Utilising Innovative Optical and Wireless Network (IOWN) infrastructure, the service establishes low-latency, high-capacity Layer 1 transmission between the JKT2 and JKT2A campus and the JKT3 data centre, located nearly 35km away.
The dedicated link facilitates continuous data synchronisation across separated facilities, supporting disaster recovery and multi-site operations.
NTT Global Data Centers president and CEO Doug Adams said: “Indonesia is one of the most dynamic digital economies in Southeast Asia, and it is creating significant demand for scalable, highly connected digital infrastructure.
“The opening of JKT2A reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting clients’ cloud, AI and digital transformation initiatives with resilient, high-performance infrastructure.
“Together with APN Connect, JKT2A strengthens our ability to deliver the scale, connectivity and reliability organisations need to accelerate innovation and growth.”
From an engineering perspective, the Tier III-certified data centre is backed by dual power substations, a 2N uninterruptible power supply topology, and N+1 standby generation.
Temperature control is handled by an N+1 air-cooled chiller installation and an N+2 computer room air handler (CRAH) configuration.
The site operates with 24-hour security teams and multi-layered physical protection, alongside cloud-neutral and carrier-neutral connectivity.
The Jakarta facility forms part of NTT DATA’s broader international data centre platform.
