Taiwanese AI compute operator KONST has secured $30m in Series B financing to accelerate the construction of dedicated AI data centres across Asia.

Memory and storage specialist ADATA Technology led the funding round, with participation from Pegatron Venture Capital, M Mobility, and corporate backers from the semiconductor, energy, and thermal management industries.

The capital will directly support the company’s infrastructure unit, Konstra AI, which oversees end-to-end data centre development.

Its operational scope covers initial site selection, electrical, mechanical, and environmental systems engineering, as well as graphics processing unit (GPU) cluster configuration, commissioning, and long-term facility maintenance.

KONST is scaling its physical footprint to address rising enterprise requirements for persistent computing capacity as organisations move beyond small-scale testing into continuous departmental use.

KONST co-founder and chairman Ben Chang said: “This round is about more than the amount raised. What matters most is that we and our investors share the same vision: AI must make its way into how enterprises actually operate, not stall at proof of concept.

“Once AI is part of operations, computing power is no longer a one-time project expense. It becomes essential infrastructure that enterprises rely on every day. Our investors understand this better than anyone, because they are on the demand side, too.”

The physical sites anchor what the company terms a Token Factory framework, which handles data centre compute as manufacturing hardware and generated tokens as finished output.

Alongside site development, the operator integrates two additional tiers: a cloud platform called Glows.ai that subdivides cluster processing power for per-second enterprise billing, and Horizon AI, an administrative layer that governs user access, tracking, and budgeting through its ATP Token system.

Chang said: “Buying GPUs is only the beginning. You need data centres you can build, compute you can break down finely, and usage you can keep under control. Only when all three layers are connected do you get what we call delivering compute.”

Headquartered in Taipei, the company has implemented deployments across several institutions and enterprises, while currently evaluating requirements for large corporate groups.

To support its regional data centre buildout and operational pipeline, KONST is also recruiting personnel across multiple disciplines.
