Singapore has provisionally allocated 200MW of new data centre capacity to four operators through its second Data Centre Call for Application exercise.
The Singapore Economic Development Board and the Infocomm Media Development Authority allocated 50MW each to Digital Realty, Equinix, Keppel Data Centres and ST Telemedia Global Data Centres. The agencies said more than 20 proposals were received from local and global players.

The awarded proposals were selected through an open competitive process. EDB and IMDA said the operators were chosen for their ability to meet the exercise’s strategic, economic and sustainability objectives.
The second Data Centre Call for Application was launched on 1 December 2025.
It sought proposals that would support Singapore’s position as a hub for AI and data centre investments, improve infrastructure resilience and international connectivity, contribute to economic objectives, and use green energy pathways.
EDB and IMDA said the four supported data centres committed to exceed the minimum sustainability requirements set for the exercise. The agencies said the projects will power at least half of their data centre capacity from green energy sources.
The green energy pathways cited by the agencies include biomethane, low-carbon ammonia, low-carbon hydrogen, and vertical building-integrated photovoltaics or building-applied photovoltaics. The selected projects also committed to adopt liquid cooling and use 100% energy-efficient IT equipment.
EDB and IMDA said this includes meeting Green Mark DC Platinum Certification. The agencies also said the proposals included advanced compute capabilities in Singapore for technologies such as AI.
They also cited economic contributions beyond direct data centre investments, including research and development collaborations with Singapore-based partners. The agencies said these elements formed part of the awarded proposals’ commitments.
The facilities supported under the exercise will be located on Jurong Island. JTC is developing a low-carbon data centre park there to leverage potential low-carbon technology synergies within the island’s ecosystem.
EDB and IMDA said they will continue to engage industry stakeholders and review the need for another Call for Application in 18 to 24 months.
