Lattice Semiconductor has entered into a partnership with Arm to deliver secure control, management, and system adaptability for AI data centre infrastructure.
The joint architecture brings together Arm artificial general intelligence central processing unit (AGI CPU) server platforms, Lattice field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs), and American Megatrends International (AMI) firmware.
Access deeper industry intelligence
Experience unmatched clarity with a single platform that combines unique data, AI, and human expertise.
This combination addresses operational requirements in next-generation computing facilities.
In the combined server design, Lattice FPGAs function as companion chips together with the primary processor and the baseboard management controller.
AMI firmware oversees system booting and platform management, while the programmable logic provides platform trust, operational connectivity, and hardware flexibility.
The system also integrates Open Compute Project (OCP) standards to streamline physical infrastructure in server halls.
Using the LVDS Tunneling Protocol and Interface (LTPI), an open and standardised interface, the Lattice FPGAs establish direct connectivity between the server Host Processor Module (HPM) and the Datacenter Secure Control Module (DC-SCM).
This link aims to simplify system integration, increase hardware interoperability, and support modular AI server deployments.
Lattice Semiconductor business development, compute and communications VP Mamta Gupta said: “AI infrastructure is evolving rapidly, creating greater demand for secure, interoperable control and management at every level of the system.
“Together with Arm, we’re helping customers accelerate deployment of next-generation computing platforms through secure management, open standards, and a scalable foundation that can evolve with changing customer needs.”
Arm go-to-market, cloud AI vice-president Eddie Ramirez said: “Scaling AI infrastructure requires an ecosystem working across compute, connectivity, management, and security.
“By working with Lattice to integrate secure management and control, we’re expanding the ecosystem around Arm AGI CPU and giving customers more flexibility to build and deploy next-generation AI infrastructure.”
The companies plan to present physical demonstrations of the integrated server hardware during the OCP Global Summit 2026.
