LG Electronics USA has signed a long-term supply agreement with AIR Control Concepts (AIR) to provide cooling equipment for AI data centres across the US and Canada.
Under the multi-year programme, LG will deliver chillers to support facilities with more than 5GW of total capacity throughout North America.

The contract focuses on the deployment of LG Air-Cooled Centrifugal Chillers. These units integrate refrigerant free-cooling technology, which relies on cool ambient air to decrease compressor cooling demands.
LG’s internal simulations of a 1,750kW unit operating in the Seoul metropolitan area indicated that this refrigerant-based method consumes roughly 30% less energy per year than hydronic free-cooling configurations.
AIR Control Concepts CEO Brad Hobbs said: “This agreement reflects the confidence data centre customers place in AIR to deliver mission-critical infrastructure at a scale and pace the industry has never seen before.
“LG’s high-efficiency chiller technology gives us a proven platform we can deploy with confidence across our AI data centre portfolio, and this agreement positions AIR to support our customers’ growth for years to come.”
LG reported first-half data centre cooling orders of more than $428m in its Q2 2026 financial results, with total orders projected to hit several billion dollars by the end of the year.
The manufacturer also anticipates reaching its 2027 chiller revenue target of around $680m (Won1tn) ahead of schedule.
Beyond its North American operations, LG is supplying cooling systems for data centre schemes in Indonesia and the Middle East, drawing on six decades of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) engineering across industrial environments.
AIR, based in Norfolk, Virginia, oversees cooling and electrical infrastructure deployments for major operators through a network of more than 50 operating businesses and over 3,500 personnel.
