Peak+, a company specialising in precision adiabatic pre-cooling technology, has announced the release of its new Peak+ CORE system for direct integration into air-cooled chillers and other equipment used in data centres.
The CORE system is designed for factory installation on v-coil style chillers and dry coolers, with options for installation at off-site pre-fabrication facilities or as a retrofit to existing equipment in the field.

Its launch comes as data centre operators face mounting issues related to higher power densities and associated heat rejection challenges.
Facilities have increasingly reported the failure of external condenser fan drives (CFDs), particularly in high-temperature environments.
The Peak+ CORE system addresses these issues by targeting suppression of condenser entering air temperatures to the specified chiller system design temperatures, thereby supporting operational reliability and avoiding performance derate.
The system supports efforts to reduce partial power usage effectiveness (PPUE), maximise IT yield, and improve water stewardship.
Peak+ CEO Chris Curry said: “Data centres of all sizes are facing the same pressures: more heat, higher opportunity costs of misused energy, and increasing focus on water stewardship.

The CORE frames are installed directly in front of condenser coils on v-coil style air-cooled equipment and are compatible with both original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and field installations.
The new product joins Peak+’s existing range, which includes the HALO external frame-based pre-cooling system.
Both products utilise the company’s proprietary technology, developed from over 300 US installations, with operational data drawn from dozens of data centre projects.
Peak+ states that its systems can provide reduced peak PUE, increased chiller peak cooling capacity by up to 40%, and potential reductions in chiller compressor energy use by up to 50%.
The company supplies and commissions all systems with its own team, and the CORE system is available for order either directly from Peak+ or through most major HVAC OEMs.
